Join us as we highlight the first Nido Art Night on June 28, 2024, at 138 NW 37th Street, Miami. Sponsored by Nido "Refuge of Senses" in support of the Art Communities in Action Foundation, this evening celebrated our local art scene and inaugurated the MADNest Art & Design Incubator.
Featuring George Rodez's exhibition "Unfolding Soul" and the debut of Michael Roman's digital photo series, "Rainbow Pixels," the event also welcomed Maria Napoles, founder of ACIA Foundation, and Yaredly Hernandez Robles, Project Manager of the Inclusive Arts Miami Initiative, who moderated the evening.
Guests enjoyed mingling at the Nido "Refuge of Senses" art space with wine and hors d'oeuvres before Yaredly Hernandez Robles delivered an inspiring speech on the collaborative impact for local artists. Symbolically breaking a foam wall with the letters "MAD," the event marked the birth of the Midtown Art District and activated the MADNest Art and Design Incubator. Attendees explored Michael Roman's immersive photo exhibition capturing the 90s queer scene in Wynwood.
Following this, guests experienced "Unfolding Soul" by George Rodez, curated by Anaibis Yero, leaving their mark on large white "MAD" letters and signing the book documenting the MADNest's origins in Wynwood Norte.
Thank you to all who attended and contributed to this unforgettable evening. We look forward to seeing you at our upcoming art nights!
